From phoning around to control: Felix Connect for long-term vacancies

Sometimes you need someone not for a single shift, but for a set period: a replacement for long-term absence, a seasonal worker, or extra people because your business is growing.

You could already use Felix to plan all your one-off shifts for sickness and busy periods. Since September, you can also arrange your long-term placements through Felix, with Felix Connect. The first placements have already been made. This post explains what Connect is, how it works and what it delivers.

Long-term placements often take more time than they should

Filling a single shift is quick. A position for three months or longer is a different story.

You call one agency and email another. One sends a CV, another a short summary, and you don't hear back from a third until next week. Meanwhile, you keep your own lists to track who proposed whom and where things stand.

Everyone does their best. But without a single place where your request and the proposals come together, you lose track. And for long-term placements especially, you want to choose carefully: this person will be on your floor for months.

What is Felix Connect?

Felix Connect is the part of Felix for temporary and long-term vacancies. You send out a long-term assignment once, to the agencies of your choice. The agencies propose candidates in Felix, and you decide who gets the job.

Connect is for:

  • interim assignments or cover for long-term absence
  • seasonal work
  • permanently expanding your team

The candidate works through the agency on a temporary agency basis. If it's a good fit and you want to keep them, you can hire them later, in line with your agreement with the agency.

This brings one-off shifts and long-term placements together in one marketplace, with the same agencies in the same place.

How it works in four steps

  1. You set up the vacancy exactly the way you want it.
You enter the period, the hourly rate, the hours and days per week, the working hours and the number of positions. You choose fixed or possible working days. You write a vacancy text for the agencies. And you decide the application process: do you want a motivation letter, a CV or an interview? You can also set requirements such as a minimum number of years of experience. An example: a head chef for 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, from 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027. Hourly rate € 40. At least five years of experience, with CV, motivation and an interview.
  2. You choose which agencies see your vacancy.
You stay in control. All the agencies you choose work with the same request and the same rules.
  3. Agencies propose candidates directly in Felix.
No scattered emails or phone calls. The proposals come in neatly one below the other. That makes it easy to compare candidates and see at a glance where you stand.
  4. Is there a match? Then you schedule it all at once.
With chained scheduling you assign the new colleague to multiple shifts in one go. Three days or a whole season: you decide the duration. That way you always have the same trusted person on the floor. After that, the placement simply runs through your regular schedule in Felix.

What it delivers

Felix Connect only works if all parties benefit. That is Win–Win–Win.

  • Companies stay in control.
One request, all proposals in one place, and you decide. Fewer phone rounds, more overview.
  • Agencies get a fair chance.
Everyone sees the same vacancy with the same requirements. The agency with the best candidate makes the difference, not whoever calls first.
  • Workers know in advance what to expect.
Period, working hours and working days are fixed before they start. They work through their own agency, in a position for a longer period. And if it clicks, it can grow into a permanent job.

From a single shift to long-term placement

You already handle sickness and peaks with Felix. Connect adds longer-term placements, so all your flex hiring sits in one system: from a single shift to a role for a whole season. For this, Felix charges 2% of the hourly rate.
